Kristina’s programs are versatile as variation is the key to keep the body strong and injury free. Kristina focuses on Functional training, which improves coordination, balance, core strength and whole body awareness.
A lot of different equipments from free weights to exercise tubes, fit balls, kettle bells, gymnastic rings and many more is used during the exercises.
Resting is as important as exercising! Muscles need at least one to two days to recover. Variation ensures that every workout has a maximum effect on the muscle tissue. In Kristina’s programs every work out is different and a proper recovery time is met in between the exercised muscle groups.
We can live without food for a few weeks, without water for a few days but without the breath we can’t live even a few minutes. The breath is key for optimum oxygen supply and energy production. When not breathing properly most exercises can’t be performed to their full potential.
Kristina uses her knowledge from her yoga practice and education to apply the importance of breath and several breathing techniques into strength training programs, circuit training, and cardiovascular exercises. The more efficient the breath and oxygen supply the more efficient the exercises will be. Often people get exhausted from lack of oxygen and not using their respiratory system to their full potential, which fatigues the body. It is also important to remember that the exhalation, when done properly, is protecting the lower back from injury.
